A quaint guest house and very welcoming.

Summer's Inn is one of the most unique places we stayed in on our trip to Nova Scotia. Very Victorian in style, with four poster beds and Victorian style furniture. There is also a newer annex, looking a bit like a motel. Our room in the main house was large with a TV and a generous size bathroom. There was no tea or coffee, but our hostess was always happy to provide whatever we wanted. There are two breakfast rooms, one with a long table to accommodate larger evenings and one with tables for two. The egg and bacon breakfast was extremely tasty and very welcome. The whole atmosphere is that of a happy family and we really enjoyed our stay. Ideally located for exploring Digby and the area. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

Great place; usable & clean B & B

This is a great place to stay the night before taking the ferry to NB. Easy walk to the charming harbor and downtown Digby which has several good restaurants, shops and other activities. Our bed in the "modern" annex was a good queen-sized bed. Our evening started with loud music coming from a facility in the back, but our hostess put an end to it, which we really appreciated. Good breakfast including fresh fruit.

Friendly Staff

"What most impressed me about Summers Country Inn was the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the staff, especially during the breakfast. We happened to be there for two nights after the Dorian storm when there was no power in the area. Everyone staff and guests, made the best of the situation and found ways to do what needed. We went on a whale watch the day we were there — didn’t need power for that! - It was all good.”

She made us feel so welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. We loved her so much and we will be going back to Digby next year just so we can visit and stay with her! I loved this place the best...

We spent 2 nights at this inn. Our room was very clean and a good size. For breakfast the staff asked per person what they want - bacon and eggs, toast, fresh fruit, juices and delicious coffee. It is a small inn, not bad for the wait staff for all the guests. I highly recommend this inn.

Large & comfortable room

“Room was large and comfortable with two nice arm chairs to sit and relax. Ours was on the ground floor so we didn’t have to haul luggage up stairs. Breakfast was delicious with everything freshly made and a wonderful blueberry loaf.”
